It is a very fun and interesting book that made you think and wonder when she would actually figure out who she really was. This book is very good and the protagonist is, (in a good way) very intriguing. It can be a bit choppy on how good and interesting it is, though.
It is sometimes very interesting then a little boring. (No offense Lasky). But all in all I think anyone interested would love the book. Cheers for book #1 Hannah Daughters of the Sea!

Had to but it... the girls love her books... plain and simple, I've not found another author that they devour with the same enthusiasm!
Suspense and deep love and emotional movement in this book. I died at the end because I can't afford the second. Yet. I will never sleep until I find out what happens to Hannah.

She finished it in one day. She loved it. She's loved the Guardians of G'Hoole series and the Wolves of the Beyond series which is why I bought this book for her to "try out." Seems it's a hit. We now have another series to look forward to reading for my girl. )
As the author of Summer Snow Winter Sun (Summer Snow Series) I was intrigued to read this book. I really enjoyed it!!! If you are a fan of historical fiction, and a fan of the paranormal/urban fantasy genre, you will like this book. I loved the setting of old Boston, and the atmosphere in Maine later in the story even more. It's a fun read, good for the coming-of-age crowd or anyone who enjoys mermaid stories.
