I didn't know what to expect with this book and took a chance. For a while I thought I was reading a mystery and surprised when I found myself in a sci-fi. The style is direct and interesting, by a strong writer. Once into it, its really hard to put it down; Bourne doesn't take any intermissions, suspenseful and action packed. The action continues unabated through the entire story, and she is a good story teller. Bourne provides endless surprising plot twists. Her descriptions of unearthly creatures are a true delight, It swings a wide creative arc with a large cast, skillfully managed and handled from beginning to end. DNA is a totally great read. I hope this author has more stories to tell us. The other worldly creatures she created are simply fabulous. Everything is right with this book and you can't go wrong.Product details

DNA eBook Raven Bourne Reviews
Wonderful book! It took me a little while to really get into it, but the twists and turns in the plot made it worth the read! Very intriguing story line!
Love tiger's ! And when you add aliens , other planet's and romance with high adventure you have it all.
I wanted to read this one straight through, but the length caused it to be read in two sessions. This novel would make a good series. I felt like I could easily identify with the main characters could not wait for the outcome even though I expected it to be a good one.
RB has written a controversial novel about the study of DNA and it's uses in affecting growth in humans and animals. In this instance it's obvious that the Doctor made a new discovery using animal DNA. The results are in the novel. Enjoy. This is an excellent read for the genre.....ER
DNA by Raven Bourne is an incredible adventure, romance, mystery, science-fiction, and philosophy book. It takes you in so many directions, to so many places, with enough depth to make it real without making it boring - it is a wonderful book. One could read it a hundred times and still find more within it.
This book captures reality in an incredible way, because even though it is science-fiction, the behavior, choices, personalities, and interactions seem one-hundred-percent realistic. No character's intelligence or personality is compromised for the story, and each character (no matter how "alien") is completely relatable and "real." What truly makes this book so realistic however, is it's diversity; real-life doesn't only have one aspect. It is dramatic, heart-breaking, and intense, while also being mysterious, scary, romantic, funny, creative, and light.
I highly recommend this book to anyone is search of a fantasy to dream of, a mystery to solve, a romance to desire, an adventure to capture, or a philosophy to ponder. (Of course, being that this book is so much like real-life, I would also not necessarily recommend it to an audience that is too young - though, that is truly for parents to decide)
I hope you enjoy this book, and recommend stopping in the middle of a chapter - otherwise you may find yourself up until 300am, caught in the amazing story that is DNA.
Wow! This book totally takes you where you wouldn't have expected! It starts off easy enough with a simple mystery, and I just expected it to continue that way. Well not at all! The twists and turns kept coming down to the last chapter! I'm very impressed with the detail the author gives, although at first the detail of rooms and people seem tedious. Once you get past the initial description of those items the book pulls you in and it's like you're there with the characters. What a wild ride you are on while reading this book. I can't wait for more.... and I truly hope there is more!
One thing I like about independent authors is the plots are often unique. The plot in DNA is completely unique and quite interesting.
I'm hesitant to say too much about the book because it would give away too much. What I will say is pay special attention to the Prologue. Go back and read it several times while reading the book.
Raven's character development is great. It seems as if she developed the characters completely before writing the book. Then she brought tied them together in a natural way. This means there is no real hero in my mind. To me, every character seems central.
To me, the book was written on several levels. It can be light reading. Or the reader can delve into the roots of their mind. Either way, it's a great read.
Looking forward to the sequel.
Be sure to read Raven's page. Knowing a little more about her helps to understand the book.
